He’s the up-and-coming magician who has been trying to win Sophie Monk’s heart on The Bachelorette.

And it seems that Apollo Jackson didn’t have the tricks up his sleeve to get him over the line on Wednesday’s penultimate episode with Sophie Monk sending the 24-year-old packing.

Sophie broke down as she said goodbye to Apollo, revealing that she felt that, at 24, he was too young to settle down.

 ‘I just want you to take over the world. You are too talented, and I’m ready to settle down and I don’t want you to,’ a teary Sophie said.

As the rose ceremony kicked off, Apollo announced that he was worried after a nervous final date with Sophie. 

 ‘The day did end with me having a little bit of nerves,’ Apollo admitted on camera before the rose ceremony.

He continued: ”There was a lot of serious things brought up about the future and I crumbled, I’m really, really worried.’

While their final date got off to a romantic start, with Opera Australia’s Nicholas Jones serenading the duo, things quickly took an awkward turn when talk eventually moved to more serious topics.
