A Missouri man is suing Apple for a whopping $1trillion claiming the company stole his iPhone after staff realized it was the ‘first device to have new features’ when he took it to the store for repairs.
Raevon Parker, 39, has claimed employees at the Apple Store in the Saint Louis Galleria fixed his iPhone 7 in 2018, but then kept it for ‘public use’ and failed to compensate him.
The store instead gave him a replacement phone with old settings, while the company used his device to develop iOS 12, he alleged, according to documents obtained by Apple Insider.

In a lawsuit filed in the US District Court of East Missouri on June 1, Parker states employees ‘deceived’ him knowing his phone was ‘the first to have new features’
Parker, who filed the bizarre lawsuit in the US District Court of East Missouri on June 1, wrote out his own statement of claim alleging staff stole his phone ‘by deceiving the Plaintiff knowing that it was the first phone to have new features.’
He claimed his phone had the ability to ‘bypass certain start-up load screen options’ and also had the Group FaceTime feature, for which he earlier claimed he deserved compensation.
Although it is unclear what exactly Parker means in his claims, MacWorld suggests he may have had a new version of the software which was not yet available to the public and it was later uninstalled when he took it the store.
Parker also suggests there may have been a dispute with staff, stating he had been ‘labeled crazy’ for his claims.
He states he is now seeking $1trillion in damages, ‘due to hospitalizations, travel, distress, humiliation, embarrassment, defamation of character.’
In an earlier filing from March 2019, he sought a total of ‘$2 priceless trillion’ – $1trillion for his phone; $1trillion for iOS 12, and his ‘priceless’ mentality.
The lawsuit, as well as was dismissed three months later.
