Apple announced on Monday that its Apple Watch Series 7 will be available for pre-order starting Friday, October 8 and in stores on October 15.
The news comes as Apple fans have been waiting to hear of the release date since the tech giant unveiled the device on September 14 during its annual product event.
Apple Watch Series 7 is, according to the company, the most durable watch yet and is the largest, with the new full-screen face that has a 20 percent larger display than the Series 6.
The device starts at $399 and features five new aluminum case finishes, including midnight, starlight, green, and a new blue and (PRODUCT)RED, which raises money for HIV charities, along with a range of new band colors and styles.
When the Series 7 was unveiled in September, Apple only said it would be available sometime in the fall – and that time has finally come.
Unlike the iPhone 13, which was also revealed during the event, the new Apple Watch’s design comes with a physical upgrade.
The tech giant boasts that this device is its ‘most durable Apple Watch ever, with a stronger, more crack-resistant front crystal.’

Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer, said in a statement following Apple’s September event: ‘Apple Watch Series 7 delivers significant improvements — from our largest and most advanced display, to enhanced durability and faster charging — making the world’s best smartwatch better than ever before.
‘Powered by watchOS 8, Apple Watch brings useful new capabilities to help customers stay connected, track activity and workouts, and better understand their overall health and wellness.’
Apple upgraded the Always-On Retina display to provide up to 70 percent more brightness than what is available in the Series 6.
The improvement makes ‘it easier to see the watch face without having to lift the wrist or wake the display,’ according to Apple.
Due to the larger display, users can now experience the new QWERTY keyboard that can be tapped or swiped with QuickPath.

Apple Watch Series 7 features a redesigned front crystal with a stronger and more robust geometry that is over 50 percent thicker than that of Apple Watch Series 6, making it more crack-resistant without compromising optical clarity.
The watch is more dust-resistant, allowing users to wear the device while at the beach or desert without worrying about sand seeping in and ruining the hardware.
Longer battery life seems to be the theme for Apple’s new products this year and just as the iPhone 13 family has a boost so does the new watch.
