Arch Manning has revealed the life advice he received from his grandfather, legendary quarterback Archie Manning.
The 19-year-old could make his first college start for Texas this weekend, with Quinn Ewers ‘questionable’ for the game against Louisiana-Monroe.
Manning took over from Ewers in the second quarter, passing for four touchdowns and running 67 yards for another score. He led the Longhorns to a 56-7 win over UTSA.
Arch is the latest star in football’s most famous bloodline. He is the son of Cooper Manning and the nephew of Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning.
The Manning dynasty began with Archie Manning, 75, who played under center at Ole Miss before being drafted No 2 overall into the NFL.

He went on to play for the Saints, the Oilers and the Vikings between 1971 and 1984.
On Monday, Arch said his grandfather is one of his biggest idols and revealed the valuable lesson he learnt from Manning Sr.
‘My grandfather taught me first off just be a good guy, that’s his thing,’ Arch said.
‘He came to just about every practice in high school. I guess you could say he’s one of my biggest role models, and I’ve learned so much from him.’
Texas (3-0) led 14-0 when Ewers left with what coach Steve Sarkisian strained abdominal muscles. Manning threw a 19-yard touchdown to DeAndre Moore on his first play.
The 19-year-old called Ewers one of his best friends on the team and noted the two are roommates when the Longhorns stay together the night before games.
‘I’ve just learned so much from him,’ Manning said after the game. ‘He’s been the man to me, and I hope he’s ok.’
