Grande was there for late rapper Mac Miller during tough times.

The songstress is said to have been an ‘incredible’ support to the artist, who passed away at only 26-years-old Friday, as he struggled with sobriety, according to Mac’s close friend Shane Powers.

[Ariana] was an unbelievably stabilizing force in his life,’ the actor explained as he opened up on his podcast The Shane Show Monday.

Ariana dated Mac, birth name Malcolm James McCormick, for about two years, splitting in May. Very shortly after she began her relationship with SNL comedian Pete Davidson.

‘There was no one in his life more ready to go to the wall for him when it came to him being sober,’ Shane said of the God Is A Woman singer’s dedication.

Mac’s close friend divulged a few details about the couple’s relationship, sharing: ‘They were very much in love and I have to say, she was incredible when he was first sobering up.’

‘She was a f*cking G to him. There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Ariana. I saw that, I was around it. I took phone calls from her. “How do I help,” “what do I do?”‘

‘This little girl was unbelievably involved and helpful to him being healthy. Because whether he was an addict of not, the way that Mac partied was not healthy. I gotta tell you,’ Shane continued.

Miller’s struggle with sobriety was no secret. Shortly after his split with Ariana in May Mac was arrested for a DUI hit-and-run in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Ariana is said to be ‘heartbroken’ since Miller’s passing last week.

‘She is absolutely heartbroken,’ said a source who spoke with UsWeekly. ‘Her entire family is in shock too. They all grew close to Mac during his relationship with Ari.

‘He was a huge part of her life, and they always shared such a special bond. She wanted nothing but positivity in Mac’s life after they broke up.’

Ariana, who became engaged in June, has kept her mourning private since Mac’s death.

She did, however, share a tribute to the artist in the form of a single uncaptioned Instagram picture on Saturday.

On Monday a representative for the LA County Coroner said that investigators have released the body to the family but a cause of death will not be announced until the results of toxicology tests that can take weeks or months.
