Armie Hammer-starring film shows masturbation into a peach

The upcoming film ‘Call Me By Your Name’ is expected to be a major awards contender when it debuts this November.

It also features a scene in which a character masturbates into a peach.

The film details a romance between an American man named Oliver, 24, and an Italian teenager named Elio, 17. Oliver is vacationing at Elio’s parents’ villa. Set in 1983, the film is based on a 2007 novel by André Aciman.

The erotic scene features Elio, portrayed by 21-year-old newcomer Timothée Chamelet. Later in the film, Oliver, who is portrayed by Armie Hammer, 31, tastes the peach, reportsThe Hollywood Reporter.

Another film that shows a character inventively using foodstuff is American Pie, a 1999 teen sex comedy. In the film, Jason Biggs's character enthusiastically utilizes an apple pie that was baked by his mother. In the movie, a friend had told him that third base, a colloquialism for oral sex, felt like 'warm apple pie'

‘The handful of sex scenes are tastefully shot but short and not particularly explicit, though Aciman’s famous peach scene — Google this at your own risk if you haven’t read the novel — is featured here in modest but unambiguous fashion’ writes Boyd van Hoeij, a film critic at The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will be released by Sony Pictures Classics on November 24. The film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival this January and has since been screened at various festivals, most recently Toronto.

As of reporting, the Luca Guadagnino-directed film currently has a 98% tomatometer store on Rotten Tomatoes. This indicates that 98 percent of surveyed critics enjoyed the film. It also has a 98 on Metacritic.

The film will not be the first to feature a character masturbate into a foodstuff.

The 1999 teen sex comedy American Pie featured Jason Biggs famously simulating a sex act into an apple pie baked by his mother.

Biggs’s character, James ‘Jim’ Levenstein, did so because a peer told him that third base, a colloquialism for oral sex, felt like ‘warm apple pie’.

In the film, Levenstein is caught by his father, portrayed by Eugene Levy.

The father and son agree to not tell the mother about the son’s lewd act.
