Liverpool have teased the release of the first interview of new head coach Arne Slot.

The Dutchman was officially announced as the Reds new boss in May, taking over from Jurgen Klopp, who departed at the end of last season following nine successful years at the club.

Slot joins the Anfield club from Feyenoord on what is believed to be a three-year deal. Supporters have waited anxiously for a glimpse of the 45-year-old in club gear after he officially assumed his new position on July 1.

And Liverpool have finally offered fans what they’ve been asking for in a tease of his first interview which is set to be released on Wednesday afternoon.

The short clip sees Slot sit for the interview before a voice behind the camera asks. ‘are you ready?’. The Dutch coach then replies in the affirmative before the video ends.

On Tuesday, Slot discovered the identity of his first opponent as the Premier League fixtures for the 2024-25 campaign were released.

The Reds travel to newly-promoted Ipswich on the opening weekend ahead of home fixtures against fixtures against Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth. In the midst of that run is the small matter of a trip to Old Trafford to face his compatriot Erik ten Hag and Manchester United.
