Artem Chigvintsev set to return to Dancing With The Stars live tour after month long battle with pneumonia

Artem Chigvintsev is ready to rumba again after battling pneumonia.

The 39-year-old revealed his diagnosis earlier this month, but according to a report by Page Six on Tuesday, he has been given the all-clear to return to the stage.

Chigvintsev announced he was taking a break from the show back in January because of ‘unexpected health issues.’

‘My goal is to recover as quickly as possible so I can rejoin my cast and crew on this incredible tour,’ he said at the time.

While a representative for the show confirmed he would soon return, Chigvintsev himself hasn’t confirmed the news yet.

The show veteran last gave fans an update on his condition earlier this month.

Artem, who welcomed his first son into the world with fiancé Nikki Bella in 2020, was optimistic that another round of antibiotics would help finally curb his on-going illness.

‘Hi everyone, just wanted to give you a little update on my wellbeing,’ he said. ‘So, I had another x-ray done yesterday, and it came back still positive for pneumonia, so I just got another set of antibiotics.’

He added: ‘Hopefully, this one will do the magic, will do the trick, to kick out the pneumonia out of my lungs. So that’s where I’m at. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.’

The Russian dancer first starred on the show during season 19 in 2014. He’s been a mainstay on the program since.
