Artist behind some of the internet’s favourite brainteasers challenges fans to infuriating puzzle

The cartoonist behind some of the internet’s favourite brainteasers has released a new puzzle challenging players to calculate the cost of ice cream.

Budapest-based artist Gergely Dudás shared his maths challenge on Facebook, and asked followers to work out the cost of each cone and scoop of ice cream.

While the playful illustration makes it look like a question from a children’s maths book, the calculation itself might take you more time than you expect.

The puzzle sparked the interest of followers, who left dozens of comments and ‘liked’ it more than 500 times.

One posted: ‘Did you just lure me in and make me do math? Lol! Love your art and creativity!’

Another added: ‘I got it! super cute! Now where is my reward ice-cream?’

Most people got it right, guessing that each cone equaled three, one vanilla ice cream scoop equaled two and each strawberry ice cream scoop, one.

Dudas, known online as Dudolf, went viral last week with another brainteaser that asked users to spot a single lollipop among dozens of ice creams.

With a sea of the frozen treats, all in very similar shades, it is almost impossible to spot the lolly.

More than 4,000 infuriated fans attempted to hunt down the sweet, commenting on the post to share their frustration.

Eagle-eyed players should be able to spot the smiling lollipop towards the top right hand corner of the picture.

A number of people claimed they found the lollipop quickly but enjoyed the puzzle.

One person said: ‘Took 2 second to find the lollipop but spent 3mins laughing at the horrified 2 cones and the one licking them’

Another wrote: ‘The green ice-cream near the left top corner and with a big smiley face has caught my attention…I can’t take my eyes from it to spot the lollipop’.

The Hungarian cartoonist is behind some of the internet’s best-loved visual puzzles.

He also released a special Easter puzzle for fans.

Somewhere in this vibrant flower patch there is a single bee buzzing around for honey – but only the most eagle-eyed players will be able to pick it out.

Last year’s Easter offering, a single egg hidden in a busy garden, was challenging, but this one is undoubtedly more difficult.

For those looking for a clue, the yellow bee is flying between two blooms of the same colour.

Dozens of fans commented to say how tricky they had found the puzzle after Dudolf shared it on his Facebook page.
