AS Roma are reportedly keeping tabs on Leicester City’s James Justin after the full-back impressed Jose Mourinho last season.
The Giallorossi are said to have several issues with their defenders and are therefore seeking reinforcements, with Justin targeted, according to CalcioMercato.com.
The report states that the Serie A side are already planning for the summer transfer window, having met with CAA Stellar, the agency that represents several players such as James, Sofyan Amrabat and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
It was during this meeting where it is believed that Justin’s name arose after the 25-year-old impressed Mourinho in the Europa Conference League semi-final last season.
Despite being injured for the majority of the season, Roma could make a move as Leicester’s Premier League status remains at risk.

With Rick Karsdorp’s public falling out with Mourinho during the first half of the season, the Dutchman could depart while new signing Zeki Celik has not impressed in Rome.
Following Justin’s injury and Leicester’s potential relegation, Roma believe that the wouldn’t have to pay a large fee for Justin and are hopeful of agreeing a loan deal with a €20million option to buy included.
It remains to be seen as to whether the Foxes, who recently appointed Dean Smith as manager on an interim basis, would be willing to let the defender depart.
Justin was widely regarded as one of England’s best full-back options after making his debut for Gareth Southgate’s squad but has since suffered from injuries.
A move to Serie A could see Justin put his injury woes behind him, but for now the 25-year-old will be keep to help navigate Leicester out of the Premier League’s relegation zone.
With Timothy Castagne and Ricardo Pereira able to fill in for the Foxes, a sale of Justin could be considered in the future, especially if Leicester fail to retain their Premier League status.
