Ashy Bines slam trolls who accused her of having cellulite

She’s the fitness queen who has worked hard for her bikini body.

But Instagram star Ashy Bines, from the Gold Coast, has found herself at the centre of criticism after cruel trolls accused her of having ‘cellulite’.

Speaking to her fans on Snapchat, the 28-year-old hit back after she received the remarks when she recently wore shorts on two different occasions.

‘So basically these comments said “love your shorts but you’ve got cellulite… shouldn’t someone in the health and fitness industry not have cellulite?”‘ she said.

‘I don’t think they’re meant to be rude but obviously, any girl who gets told they have cellulite or they’re questioning why I have cellulite, it’s like… “Oh thanks”.

Despite her confidence, the young mother-of-one  – who proudly flaunts her toned figure on social media – admitted she was not ‘perfect’.

‘I think it’s just a little reminder that just because I’m in the health and fitness industry, it doesn’t mean that I’m perfect and completely flawless with a six pack and no cellulite or no wobbly bits,’ she said.

‘I’m just as normal and real as everyone watching this Snapchat. I’m sorry if I disappointed you that I have cellulite.

‘I’m not offended by the cellulite comment. I know I’m not flawless, it doesn’t upset me. I’m not insecure about my cellulite. It’s not something that bothers me. I just think all women have it, most women have it, if you don’t hip-hip-hooray.’

The fitness guru said her mission was to encourage women to love their life – not just their looks.

‘I feel like I’ve moved into someone who just likes to help women feel amazing,’ she said.

‘Obviously that comes with looking your best, feeling your best, being your healthiest, living your life during the things you love, surrounded by people.

‘It’s not just about how you look.’

The Instagram star brushed off the comments about herself but she urged critics to stop judging other women.

‘I just think to those people who do comment on other women’s appearances just to be careful because I just don’t think it comes across as nice,’ she said.

‘If that person is having a bad day or they’re already insecure about it, you’re just highlighting for them – and that’s never going to make any women feel good.

‘Just think about what you might be insecure about, and then having someone point it out all the time. It’s not going to make you feel good, it’s just going to make you think about it more.

‘People should not put other people on pedestals or expect them to be a certain way or act a certain way or say certain things just because they’re in the industry.

‘We are all so different and we all do things differently, and connect differently, and train differently and have different goals and that’s okay.’
