Aspiring killer wanted to eat date’s heart before stabbing

A homicidal woman told her Craigslist date she wanted to eat his heart before she pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed him in the chest during their first and final meeting.

Amy Caroline Brown, 24, received a prison sentence of 18 years Tuesday after she pleaded guilty in September to attempted first-degree murder, the Daily Herald reported.

Brown met her unidentified suitor, 29, online back in January, when she invited him to meet her at the 2-star Rodeo Motel at 20707 Highway 99 in Lynwood, Washington.

The mentally disturbed woman agreed to meet the man after he told her he was looking online for a woman to offer him anything from a friendship, companionship or casual dating.

The strangers reportedly chatted it up on the motel bed after their arrival, when Brown began asking her date alarming questions – such as whether or not he was a serial killer.

After the man told her no to the question several times, Brown jumped on him, yanked out the knife and stabbed him with it, a memory from the nightmare incident he recalled to police.

She yelled out, ‘Well, I am a serial killer!’, before he was able to successfully shove her off of him and sprinted out the door for assistance.

The man suffered a collapsed lung from the onslaught, but made it out of the horror date alive after receiving medical care.

Brown was arrested outside of the motel shortly after. She admitted to police she had a longtime yearning to kill, and planned to do so that night.

Police found a note in Brown’s pocket that she said she planned to place on the victim before he escaped. It read: ‘If you are wondering what I do with the heart, I eat it. I will strike again.’

Brown had been taking medication for suicidal tendencies since 2015, while court documents said she began cutting herself at age 12, and at age 19, attempted to overdose of prescription pills.

The same month she attempted to kill her online date in January, was the around the time she stopped taking her medication as she believed she could be pregnant.

Brown also failed to show up and cancel her psychiatrist appointments – which led to an increasing balance on her account, according to the Herald.

‘The clinic refused to schedule her an appointment until she had paid off the large balance, which she was unable to afford,’ her defense attorney, Jennifer Bartlett wrote in a statement.

Brown had a long history of suicidal tendencies and more recently, had homicidal thoughts. She said she grew obsessed with the TV show 'Hannibal'

During court hearing, Bartlett revealed her client had been longtime ‘immersed in fantasy that the characters from her fantasy life have merged with her own identity.’

Brown wrote in a letter to the judge she was deeply ‘sorry’ to her victim, and had no excuse as to why she acted out violently towards the innocent man.

She described herself as a dog lover and someone who often helped people in need, adding, ‘My character, or so I’d like to believe it to be, is one of benevolence.’

Before the January stabbing, Brown revealed she grew infatuated with the thriller NBC series ‘Hannibal.’

Brown’s parents were in attendance to Tuesday’s court hearing, where their daughter received her sentence.

Her mother told the judge that her daughter was acting unusual the night of the attempted murder and said she does ‘not understand what triggered Amy to commit such a violent act towards a fellow human.’

The victim, who was attending therapy sessions during the time he was attacked, was encouraged by his therapist to engage in social events.

He then created a personal ad on Craigslist that read, ‘Good Evening! Let’s go zombie hunting!’ – a quest that immediately lured Brown in.
