Assistance dog lets a cheeky SQUIRREL clamber all over its back 

This is the adorable moment a trained service dog stayed calm and even had a snooze as a squirrel climbed on to its head.

In the clip, a curious squirrel is seen scurrying around a drive-way in Jensen Beach, Florida.

He then approaches Harley the Boxer who is lying across the back yard.

Within a matter of seconds, the furry animal puts its paws on to Harley and slowly climbs on to its back.

Appearing excited in the company of a dog, he repeatedly twitches his head around to get a clearer view of the pup.

The squirrel then clambers on to the Boxer’s head, in the clip from January 17.

Harley appears patient and sits still as the squirrel can be seen fidgeting. 

He then approaches Harley the Boxer who is lying across the back yard

His paws come close to prodding the beloved pet’s eyes and he immediately jumps off.

Harley becomes alert and watches the squirrel wandering back.

Appearing interested in his new dog friend, the squirrel hops back on to their back.

Seconds later, Harley is seen snoozing on their side.

Much to the viewer’s amusement, Harley remains perfectly still and does not move a wink. The squirrel then uses their back to act as a step to reach the owner’s hand. 

Their owner said: ‘Absolutely amazing. I don’t know what else to say. She’s so well-trained. She just won’t move an inch.  

‘The squirrel was wild and showed up a few times.’
