At least six people killed in horrific fire in Spanish nightclub, with several missing as fears grow death toll is set to rise
At least six people have died during a nightclub fire in Spain, while another four people have been injured after suffering smoke inhalation.
It has been named locally as the Teatre nightclub, in the city of Murcia in south-east Spain.
The fire broke out in the nightclub, located in the Atalaya area of the city, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Murcia’s emergency services, which responded to reports of the fire at 6am local time, said that four people had been injured and that the number of fatalities could rise.
It is believed there could be more victims, with reports firefighters are looking for people reported as missing who are thought to have been in the nightclub at the time.
