Attorney General William Barr says he is ‘appalled’ at Jeffrey Epstein’s suicide

BREAKING NEWS: ‘Livid’ Attorney General Bill Barr says he is ‘appalled’ Jeffrey Epstein was able to commit suicide in federal custody in statement saying his death raises ‘serious questions that must be answered’

Attorney General Bill Barr says he is ‘appalled’ to learn Jeffrey Epstein was able to commit suicide in his federal jail cell.

Barr has now ordered the FBI to investigate the pedophile’s death after he was found in the Metropolitan Correctional Center on Saturday, adding that Epstein’s death raises ‘serious questions that must be answered’. 

He said in a statement released on Saturday: ‘I was appalled to learn that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead early this morning from an apparent suicide while in federal custody. 

‘Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered. In addition to the FBI’s investigation, I have consulted with the Inspector General who is opening an investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Epstein’s death.’

A person familiar with the matter says Barr was ‘livid’ that Epstein was able to take his own life 

Epstein hanged himself in his federal jail cell in Manhattan in the early hours of Saturday morning. 

He was awaiting sex trafficking charges.
