Aubameyang calls out Toni Kroos on Twitter after he criticised his ‘nonsense’ celebrations

‘Does Toni Kroos have kids? I did it for my son and I’ll do it again’: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hits back at the Real Madrid star – and father of three – after he called his mask celebrations ‘stupid nonsense’

  • Toni Kroos slated Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s celebrations in an interview
  • Kroos said Aubameyang’s masks are ‘nonsense’ and made him a bad role model
  • The Arsenal man responded on Twitter, questioning if Kroos definitely said it

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has called out Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos on social media over comments where he slated the Arsenal striker’s ‘silly’ mask goal celebrations.

Kroos mentioned Aubameyang by name, not only dismissing the flamboyancy of his reaction to scoring a goal but also said such a gesture doesn’t make him a good role model.

After reading the quotes for himself, Aubameyang took to Twitter to say: ‘Hmm i want to answer but First @ToniKroos i just want to be sure if it was really you?’

The Arsenal skipper then continued his verbal attack on Kroos – who has three children – by asking whether he had kids, before claiming he will perform his mask celebrations again.

Aubameyang wrote: ‘By the way does this @ToniKroos have kids?

‘Just to remember i did it for my son a few times and I will do it again, I wish you have kids one day and make them happy like this. Junior School pupils Talk. And don’t Forget #maskon #staysafe’

Kroos has yet to reply to Aubameyang but didn’t hold back in the interview that he gave earlier this week.

‘I find it very silly. Even worse is if there are any objects hidden in their socks,’ he told his Einfach mal Luppen podcast via Sport Bild. ‘Aubameyang once celebrated and took out a mask. That’s where it ends with me.

‘I don’t think that’s a good role model, either. What nonsense.’
