She’s the down to earth Aussie actress who has been wearing a swimsuit for the last few months while spending most of the pandemic on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

But Aussie actress Sharni Vinson had a Cinderella moment as she attended the closing ceremony during the 4th Canneseries Festival on Wednesday. 

The former Home and Away star, 38. looked stunning in a baby blue silk gown.

The dress featured intricate silver and beaded applique across the collarbone area and around the waistband of the ensemble.

The brunette beauty accessorised with a diamond bracelet and wore her flowing locks in a low ponytail.

Sharni attended the event to celebrate her new movie, Adi Shankar’s Superhero Satire, The Guardians of Justice.

In 2014, Sharni’s lithe frame became the subject of fan outcry, and she responded to concerns about her weight during an interview with Heat magazine.

‘I’ve always been a very naturally slim girl. If I was the way I was perceived, I would not physically be able to do what I do,’ she said at the time.

When asked if she was eating proper meals, she added: ‘Yes. You couldn’t have a schedule like I do if you didn’t. You would actually faint.’

The magazine reported at the time that the actress ‘doesn’t go to the gym and instead walks on the beach and enjoys a diet of burgers.’

Sharni rose to fame on Channel Seven soap Home and Away, appearing on the program between 2004 and 2008.

She left in 2008 after first debuting on the show when she was just 22 years old.

There have been whispers of a return to Summer Bay for a while, but Sharni has not confirmed any news yet.

She has also made appearances on popular US crime shows such as NCIS and CSI.
