Aussie female boxing star shows up at weigh-in topless causing tremendous unrest

Aussie female boxing star shows up at weigh-in TOPLESS with Aussie star Ebanie ‘Blonde Bomber’ Bridges told to ‘step her game up’

  •  Huge interest in Aussie female boxers online
  •  Showing flesh is making them lots of money
  •  Bridges pioneered ways to reach massive audience

Ebanie Bridges is well known for her body positivity and freedom, OnlyFans account and boxing ability. Now, there is a new challenger.

Bridges, who last December smashed out the lights of star rival Shannon O’Connell in an eight-round brutal display which retained her IBF world crown, has been cashing in on adult site OnlyFans.

But she has been told to ‘up her game’ after fellow Aussie boxer Cherneka Johnson turned up to Friday’s weigh-in topless except for body paint that replicated the style of a sports bra.

The New Zealand-born fighter now representing Australia is defending her IBF super bantamweight title against Ellie Scotney at London’s Wembley Arena on Saturday, as part of the undercard to Sunny Edwards’ world title defence against Andres Campos.

And the day before, the 28-year-old world champion got the attention by turning up in the bold look that was also emblazoned with the OnlyFans logo.

The weigh-in, posted on Matchroom Boxing’s Twitter page, showed a stern-faced Eddie Hearn desperate to look away, despite being in the thick of the moment.

Aussie fighter, the diminutive Cherneka Johnson (left with finger raised) shocked the world when she weighed in for her fight against Britain’s Ellie Scotney wearing war paint only over her boobs

Bridges turns up in virtually nothing for her weigh ins prior to fights and this has attracted men by the thousands to her social pages and OnlyFans account.

However she may have been upstaged, with Johnson’s entrance shocking and turning heads as the images and vision of the weigh in went global.

After the stunning impact Johnson’s ‘reveal’ created, some of Bridges fans took to twitter and challenged her with comments like, ‘time to up your game.’

Bridges, who loved Johnson’s bold weigh in move, responded with, ‘Us Aussies really know how to challenge at the weigh ins.

‘But, it’s no competition for me baby, I’ve got my own game.’

Bridges  is a fan of what Johnson is doing and realises women boxers need to do something in order to improve their standing in the sport.

But she also reminded Johnson that the Blonde Bomber remains the queen.

‘I love it! Love seeing women embrace their femininity and make money without giving a f… what people they don’t even know, think,’ Bridges posted.

‘But I’m the OG.’

Johnson overcame a bad laceration above her eye to overcome fellow Aussie Susie Ramadan to claim the IBF world title in October.

Scotney and Johnson squared up to each other during the pre-bout photoshoot, where they shared a stony face-off over the belt for which they are competing.

Not surprisingly Scotney didn’t make one mention of the controversial appearance of the Aussie, despite the fact Scotney is a prolific social media poster.

Previously Johnson successfully defended her IBF world title in a brave, bloody contest – before being accused of doping by beaten fellow Australian Susie Ramadan.

Ramadan had threatened an upset after opening up a nasty cut above her rival’s eye in the first round that needed plenty of medical attention.

However Johnson managed to knock down Ramadan and showed no signs of injury despite blood streaming down her face.

Johnson has a professional career record of 15-1, with her only defeat to Shannon O’Connell in March 2021.

She won the her IBF super bantamweight belt in April 2022, and she is putting it on the line for Saturday’s fight at Wembley.

Last year, Johnson continued to fight, despite the death of her brother in a stabbing in Brisbane.
