An Australian journalist working in Tel Aviv has slammed her home country’s Covid lockdowns and poor vaccine rollout.

Sarah Williamson, who works for Israeli news channel i24 News, shared several Instagram posts on Monday criticising Australia’s response to the global pandemic.

The 30-year-old reporter wrote: ‘Catch me on @n12news tonight getting fired up about Australia’s Covid-19 lockdowns and their ridiculous border policy.’

The reporter recently captured attention for her glamorous looks while covering the Israel-Palestine crisis in Tel Aviv.

When she’s not reporting on geopolitical conflicts, Sarah works as a bikini model.

She also an aspiring actress and has even appeared in a major campaign for an Israeli footwear brand.

It comes as two thirds of the country have been plunged into lockdown as states battle to control fresh outbreaks.

Just 5.79 per cent of Australians are now fully vaccinated four months after the country’s biggest ever inoculation rollout was launched, according to a graph compiled by Our World in Data.

Israel has vaccinated almost 60 per cent of its population followed by Chile with almost 55 per cent, while almost half of Britons and Americans have rolled up their sleeves.

Australia is also trailing behind Latvia, Turkey, Mexico and Colombia and even New Zealand, which only uses the Pfizer jab.

Australia has recorded a total of over 30,000 cases and 910 deaths in a population of about 25 million since the pandemic began.
