Aussie rockers Grinspoon return to the stage with massive tour after hiatus and promise to play songs they’ve never performed live before

Grinspoon are gearing up for their highly anticipated national tour, marking their return to the stage after a few years hiatus.

The beloved Aussie rockers have locked in nine dates across the country in October and November, promising an unforgettable experience for their fans.

The band will then take the stage playing shows in Hobart, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Newcastle, and wrapping up at Perth’s Astor Theatre.

Grinspoon will be joined by Melbourne punk outfit Private Function and Byron Bay rockers Cupid & The Stupids on the tour.

Additionally, each show offers a VIP meet and greet option, where attendees can join the band at soundcheck and even have the opportunity to play a song with them.

Frontman Phil Jamieson expressed his excitement about the upcoming shows, stating, ‘We’re delighted to be hitting the road again later this year.

‘I’m so enjoying putting together the set list for these shows. We’ll be throwing in some songs we’ve never played live, believe it or not.’

In conjunction with the tour, Grinspoon will release both their iconic records Easy and New Detention on vinyl for the very first time.

Jamieson shared his sentiments about Easy and New Detention, saying, ‘I’m very affectionate towards Easy. I love that record; I think it’s my favourite Grinners album.

‘It’s flawed, but I think I like its flaws. I can hear the tumultuous times that we were experiencing during the writing and recording of it too.

And New Detention, well, it kind of changed everything for us.’

Tickets for the shows will go on sale at 9 a.m. local time this Friday, June 2.
