The guide recommends first downloading the Amazon App. This enables customers to check out what’s set to be on offer before it’s live on the site. This can be done by browsing the tabs “Today’s deals” and “Upcoming”. If a customer is interested in a deal, they can check the “Watch this Deal” box to keep track of any special that has caught their interest and potentially nab a bargain once the sale has officially started. The buyer’s guide also advises signing up to become an Amazon Prime member. Membership to Amazon is priced at $6.99 a month and offers access to Amazon’s streaming platforms which includes television, music, books and games.

What kinds of deals are Amazon offering?

Lightning Deals: These are promotions that appear for a limited time only and are while stocks last. Lightning Deals are available until either the promotion period for the deal expires or all the available promotional discounts are claimed.

Customers will be limited to one purchase per Lightning Deal, to ensure as many people as possible can enjoy the great savings available.

Deals of the Day: These are 24 hour deals (or while stocks last) that feature deep discounts on popular products.

Customers can also access US Deals of the Days directly through our Global store offering on amazon.com.au, with free shipping for Prime members.

Upcoming deals: Upcoming Lightning Deals will be live throughout the event. These will be visible on the event page with the scheduled live time. However, it’s worth noting these deals are only available for a limited time and while stocks last.

Prime members can access some deals exclusively over the course of the sale and can access some Lightning Deals 30 minutes ahead of time.

Lastly, there is a special waitlist feature that’s been added to the bottom of product pages.

Checking this option means if you have missed out, you will receive a notification if the item comes back in stock.

The sale is offering at least 15 per cent off select laptops from HP and Razer (pictured left) and a 25 per cent discount on a Sony HT-S100F//C AU1 Slim Soundbar.

‘With tens of thousands of products available at discounted prices and new deals going live every day throughout June, we hope our Mid-Year Sale provides something for everyone,’ said Rocco Braeuniger, Country Manager of Amazon Australia.

‘From savings on select laptops to household staples, we aim to provide Australian shoppers with even better value.’
