Parcel pick-ups from businesses will be paused by Australia Post in Melbourne for five days.

Australia Post announced on Wednesday it is pausing eParcel and Parcel Post pickups, collections and lodgements from eCommerce retailers from Friday October 1 to Wednesday October 6.

The move is designed to clear a record volume of parcels through centres hit by major COVID-19 disruptions, Australia Post said in a statement.

Collections from eCommerce retailers in regional Victoria and all other states will continue as normal and collections from Street Post Boxes across Victoria will be unaffected.
