Australia’s Ashes stars prepared for the fourth Test by bringing their families to a Christmas Day nets session in Melbourne.

With a series victory over England already in the bag after winning each of the first three Tests, Steve Smith’s side looked very relaxed at the MCG.

Batsman David Warner and his wife Candice brought daughters Ivy Mae, three, and Indi Rae, who will be two next month, to the session.

But Shaun Marsh’s 18-month-old son Austin was the star of the show as he chased around a Kookaburra ball under the watchful eyes of his dad and uncle Mitch.

Young Austin was also treated to a batting lesson from Aussie opener Cameron Bancroft, although he appeared more entertained by his helmet than his advice.

England’s players geared up for the latest Test match by playing a game of football during their nets session.
