A group of Aldi shoppers have slammed a man for buying a huge haul of Special Buys items in one go, resulting in a bitter war of words online.

Customers rushed to the Australian supermarket to pick up a $69.99 Stand Mixer when they hit the shelves on Saturday.

An annoyed shopper took to Facebook saying she had missed out on purchasing  the highly-sought after product because another customer had bought six.

The woman posted to the Aldi Mums Facebook page sharing a photo of the other shopper’s haul and complaining that she was unable to get any herself.

‘I went to Aldi this morning at 8.30am to buy a stand mixer from Special Buys today,’ she posted in the group.

‘I end up having nothing at 8.35am because of this. Is it fair? As per ALDI staff, they can’t put any limits on Special Buys. That guy ended up buying six of the stand mixers.’

Most Facebook users agreed the man’s behaviour was unfair and that he was being selfish by buying six of the baking products.

‘Two is ok but not six, they should limit it,’ one user wrote on the post.

Others agreed and said it was a common occurrence for Special Buys items to go to shoppers who bought multiple.

‘And I bet he will sell them for more online. I hate people who do that,’ one user commented.

But others defended the man and said he could purchase whatever he liked.

‘It’s his business of why he had so many, not for the rest of Australia to judge,’ one user wrote.

‘Maybe he’s the nominated shopper for the street? Maybe he has a big family? Maybe we should mind our own business,’ another commented.

‘Don’t know who’s worse… The guy with the trolley or the person taking the photo,’ another added.
