An Australian doctor has revealed nine foods that can ‘naturally boost your sex drive’ – and the herbal tea you should sip on to get you moving between the sheets.

Dr Dalya Shaikbzeni claims snacking on pumpkin seeds, watermelon and boiled asparagus can improve your libido thanks to their high concentration of nutrients that balance hormones and stimulate blood flow, increasing the chance of orgasm.

The women’s health specialist, who focuses on reproduction and fertility, says seasoning meals with nutmeg, ginger and garlic can also increase sexual desire.

Instead of drinking coffee, Dr Dalya recommends ginseng tea, a tonic that has been linked to an improvement in men’s sexual performance and higher sex drives in older women.

She also suggests eating halibut, a fish that is low in mercury but high in omega 3 fats which is thought to increase fertility, as well as aphrodisiac foods such as dark chocolate and turkey.

At least three of Dr Dalya’s claim are backed by science.

A 2018 study from Harvard University study found couples who ate fish twice a week or more had sex 22 percent more frequently than those who didn’t.

The research also found eating more fish helped couples who were trying to conceive get pregnant easier.

Ninety two percent of couples who ate fish twice a week or more became pregnant, compared with 79 percent of those who ate fish less often.

Meanwhile studies have shown the high amount of vitamin E in asparagus can increase blood and oxygen flow to the genitals, while the phytonutrient citrulline found in watermelon also boosts blood flow which increases your sex drive.

‘I’m heading to the store right now,’ one person wrote.

A second added: ‘Trying them all.’

A French viewer shared a legend about King Henry IV’s famous penchant for garlic – and women.

‘He was called the “green gallant” – he had so many love affairs and children…he loved garlic!’ he wrote.
