Australian Idol star Ricki-Lee Coulter reveals surprise meeting with Prince Harry in London pub: ‘It was so surreal and awesome’

Ricki-Lee Coulter revealed on Monday she once had a surprise meeting with Prince Harry in a pub in London.

The Australian Idol star, 37, said she visited the bar with her mates to watch their friend Sam Sparro perform – and was shocked when the Royal walked in.

‘I went to the bar and all of a sudden all these people started coming in, like Secret Service-looking people in suits,’ she told the I’ve Got News For You podcast.

‘I was like, “What is this? What’s happening?” and then whispers started happening that Prince Harry was coming.

Ricki-Lee was then pleasantly surprised when the Duke of Sussex chatted to her for five minutes while they were waiting for their drinks.

‘We introduced ourselves and just talked … it was so surreal and awesome. He was so down to earth and lovely and cool,’ she said.

It comes after Ricki-Lee spoke about her success after kick-starting her career on Australian Idol back in 2004.

The brunette beauty told The Daily Telegraph on Sunday, she is ‘very proud’ of herself after almost two decades in the music industry.

‘I am really proud I have sustained a career for almost 20 years and had all of the crazy, wild amazing success that I’ve had, but I’ve worked my a** off for it,’ she said.

Ricki-Lee went on to discuss her new single On My Own, which will be released on March 31.

‘Whatever I have been through in my life, personal or in my career, the ups and downs, I know that I will always figure it out,’ she explained.

Ricki-Lee rose to fame after she made it to the top 10 on Australian Idol back in 2004.

She placed seventh, and the talented performer has remained a fixture of the music industry ever since.

This year she co-presented Channel Seven’s reboot with Scott Tweedie.
