An Australian man has been arrested with two young women after they allegedly wrote the word ‘bombing’ in a Philippines hotel room.
Jamie Allan Morgan, 48, is being held with Carmiel Pasco, 19, and Myla Tugbong, 20, after a housekeeper noticed the writing on a mirror at the Cebu Grand Hotel on Sunday.
A police officer said the group are being held on the charge of ‘causing alarm and scandal’, and that arresting officers at Fuente Police Station have filed a case against them.

After walking in to the room housekeeper Nicanor Negre panicked and reported it to her boss.
Police were then notified at 2am, and an army bomb squad turned up to the hotel.
Chief Inspector Maria Theresa Macatangay told The Freeman said the trio claimed they were joking when they wrote the word on the mirror.
‘The room was clean and the bomb squad didn’t find anything. But of course, we treated it seriously,’ Ms Macatangay said.

Jamie Morgan’s background was checked by Philippines police after his arrest
‘We had [Morgan’s] background checked in the Interpol and he doesn’t have any derogatory records. But again, the incident caused panic to the public.
‘[Police] were at the height of our preparations for the arrival of president Rodrigo Duterte so it really caused harm’.
Morgan was reportedly arrested about 8pm, while Pasco and Tugbong were arrested after a ‘follow-up operation’.
The three will face charges for violating a Presidential Decree for unlawful malicious dissemination of false information and willfully making threats concerning bombs, as well as causing alarm and scandal.
