A Bunnings shopper was stopped in his tracks by an ‘X-rated’ item that left him wondering if he had stepped into a very different kind of store.
The man was browsing the ladder section at an outlet in Perth, WA, when he spotted a mannequin hanging from a shelf.
While the top half of the doll was dressed in a high-vis construction T-shirt, the bottom half was naked with a harness strapped under the groin that looks similar to bondage gear at first glance.
A photo of the mannequin drew dozens of amused responses after it was uploaded to Reddit, with the caption: ‘I think Bunnings is starting a new R18 section.’

‘Bunnings just got a whole lot more fun,’ one person wrote.
A second suggested the iconic hardware giant should rebrand itself as ‘Bummings’.
Others were baffled by the bizarre discovery.
‘What the hell? said one, while another added: ‘If hi-vis floats your boat, you’ve been on site far too long!’
A third pointed out how uncomfortable the harness would be, writing: ‘Oof, the chafing.’
While business continues as normal at Bunnings outlets across Western Australia, stores in Greater Sydney have been forced to close for the foreseeable future to slow the spread of the highly infectious Covid Delta strain sweeping New South Wales.

The retailer caved to media pressure last week by announcing it would shut its doors to all customers except tradesmen until lockdown is lifted.
A string of shops such as garden centres, hardware stores and office and pet supply chains all closed on Monday, August 24, offering click and collect services only in the 12 LGAs of concern in Sydney’s west and south-west.
But Bunnings went a step further, confirming they would close all stores in Greater Sydney to reduce movement of residents between LGAs.
‘This is in support of the government and for the safety and security of team members, customers and the community,’ Bunnings managing director Mike Schneider said.
‘We know from experience that applying a consistent approach across a metropolitan area is easier for our team to manage and helps reduce travel by residents between LGAs.’
