Australian shoppers can’t get enough of Aldi’s VERY affordable in-house beauty brand

Revealed: The five VERY affordable Aldi beauty products shoppers can’t get enough of – including a $19 face mask ‘as good as a $690 moisturiser’

  • Aldi’s exclusive beauty range Lacura has become a huge hit with shoppers
  • The affordable products are said to be just as good as high-end designer buys
  • Best-selling skincare includes a $9.99 ‘wrinkle smoother’ and a $4 face cleanser
  • Aldi makeup, including an $8 lipstick and $7 mascara, is also a hit in Australia

Aldi is struggling to keep its in-house beauty range on shelves as shoppers continue to stock up on budget-friendly skincare and makeup in their droves.

Lacura, the award-winning beauty collection from the German-owned supermarket chain, has proven to be a huge hit in Australia, with two products winning awards at the 2019 Product of the Year Awards earlier this year.

Best-sellers include a $9.99 facial serum voted one of the nation’s favourite products of 2019, a $7.99 lipstick and a $19 face mask which has been likened to La Prairie’s acclaimed $690 Skin Caviar Luxe Cream.

Aldi’s in-house beauty range has proven to be a huge hit with Australian shoppers, with this $19 caviar-infused face mask selling out seconds after launching last month

1. Caviar Illumination 3 Minute Cell Renewal – $19

The Lacura $19 anti-ageing face cream, which is infused with caviar, launched in Australian Aldi stores last month – and sold out in just 30 seconds at some outlets.

The luxury mask, which promises to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and brighten the complexion, making you appear younger, has been likened to the cult favourite Skin Caviar Luxe Cream from upscale brand La Prairie, which costs a staggering $690.

Beauty experts say the products produce the same hydrating result.

2. Skin Science Renew Expert Wrinkle Smoother – $9.99

Earlier this year, the Expert Wrinkle Smoother was named one of Australia’s favourite consumer buys at the 2019 Product of the Year Awards.

The award-winning serum, which costs $9.99, claims to stop the onset of fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles and increasing the production of collagen, which makes skin appear plumper and more hydrated.

Ingredients include Shea butter, which softens and moisturises, vitamin E, which protects against environmental pollutants and UV rays, and squalene, a natural oil extracted from olives which reduces toxins and strengthens skin elasticity.

3. 24-hour Waterproof Mascara – $6.99

Lacura’s 24-hour Waterproof Mascara was also named one of the nation’s top products for 2019.

The mascara, which costs $6.99, is made with beeswax which makes eyelashes appear fuller and thicker.

A cosmetic reviewer from Mamamia’s You Beauty group said the formula never smudged, calling it the ‘best staying mascara’ she has ever tried.

4. Long Lasting Duo Lipstick – $7.99

Hailed as a dupe for the popular Revlon Colourwear Lipstick, the Long Lasting Duo contains a conditioning balm, to moisturise and prep lips, and an intense colour which promises to stay in place all day long.

The lipstick is available in three shades – rose pink, nude and red – and is currently reduced from $7.99 to $6.99.

Lacura's $6.99 2 mascara was also named one of the nation's top products for 2019
