Sisters who started beading to pass time during lockdown have launched an affordable jewellery brand that specialises in colourful retro designs.
Rewind is the brainchild of Olivia, 24, and Madelyn Carver, 26, teachers from Tasmania who create handmade accessories including necklaces, bracelets and phone charms inspired by the beaded styles last popular in the late 1990s.
Their kitsch and colourful designs are accessible to shoppers of any budget, with prices starting from just $10 for necklaces, as little as $8 for bracelets and free shipping to anywhere in Australia.

In July 2021 the sisters launched Rewind, a label specialising in handmade accessories including necklaces, bracelets and phone charms inspired by the beaded styles of the 1990s
And it seems shoppers are already catching on.
Madelyn, who appeared on season eight of The Bachelor in 2020, recently took to Instagram to tell fans they were ‘overwhelmed’ by the support they have received since launching in July.
‘What began as a way to occupy ourselves during isolation, has now turned into more than that,’ she wrote.

The trend for childlike beading has dominated the accessories scene in 2021, with leading influencers such as Brittany Xavier and popstar Olivia O’Brien spruiking it in social media photos.
Rewind’s Instagram account has already attracted an audience of almost 1,000 followers just one month since launching, with fans leaving comments such as ‘I need this!’ and ‘these are so cute’.
