Kerr was criticised after hitting out at the ‘haters’ in a post-match interview by telling them to ‘suck on that one’ after her side beat Brazil 3-2 on Friday.
‘I’m so proud of the girls, I knew we were in it at halftime,’ Kerr said.
‘There were a lot of critics talking about us but we’re back so suck on that one. It’s just outside noise, we don’t listen to the haters.’
Kerr later posted a tweet she received from a homophobic troll who called her a ‘dyke’.
