Australian Survivor star Shonee Bowtell is voted out in shock twist

Australian Survivor star Shonee Bowtell breaks down as she is voted off the show in shock twist during tribal council

Shonee Bowtell was voted out at the Tribal Council in a shock twist during Sunday’s episode of Australian Survivor.

The 30-year-old was sent packing by the other contestants after host Jonathan LaPaglia revealed the final players, Liz, George, Matt and Gerry, would be voting someone out of the jury.

‘I know, it’s a lot to process,’ he told the shocked contestants.

Jonathan then informed the jury that one of them would be voted out and would have to leave immediately.

After deliberating, Liz voted for Simon, while George, Matt and Gerry all voted for Shonee to be eliminated.

The surprise twist has meant all four contestants will be pleading their case to win the $500,000 prize during Monday’s finale.

Following her elimination, Shonee told 10Play, she had a ‘bad feeling’ at the tribal council.

‘At Tribal Council, I remember saying to Liz I’ve got a bad feeling. Even when I voted I think I said something along the lines of I really don’t like these three-three votes.’

She said she ignored her intuition because she thought she was just emotional due to lack of food and tiredness.

‘I basically gaslit myself into thinking my intuition wasn’t right,’ Shonee continued.

‘I was so on point but I thought, you’re being so emotional… just don’t worry about it, you’re just being crazy it’s all good. It wasn’t all good.’

Shonee became the first player to compete in three seasons of Australian Survivor and holds the record for the longest days lasted.
