Australian swimming stars seen partying with sprint champ Usain Bolt in notorious Sin City nightclub

  • Athletes let their hair down at notorious Gold Coast nightclub ‘Sin City’
  • Australian and English swimmers were seen packing the club after their events
  • Usain Bolt has made the club a regular stop during his time on the Gold Coast

A popular Gold Coast night spot was filled with international athletes until the early hours of the morning including sprint great Usain Bolt who spent some time with Australian swimmers.

The Australian and English swim teams filled the club, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

Bolt was tended to by the club’s lingerie clad waitresses as he enjoyed the club for the second consecutive night.

The swim stars who took time to relax and party the night away included freestyle swimmer Emma McKeon and golden girl Bronte Campbell, along with freestyler James Magnussen.

Magnussen and Campbell were seen at the club until 3am.

Commonwealth Games athletes have been cautioned about the notorious Gold Coast hot spot after ex-Scottish Commonwealth Games boxer Stephen Lavelle made headlines at the club.

Lavelle was this week charged with two counts of assault after an altercation on the Sin City dance floor while Bolt was enjoying himself on the DJ decks.

That came only days after Irish boxer Sean McComb was banned from the Gold Coast party precincts after throwing punch at Sin City bouncers.

He was also fined $756.

Games Minister Kate Jones said with so many people on the Gold Coast for the games, some incidents were inevitable but she also encouraged athletes to enjoy what the Gold Coast has to offer.

Freestyle swimmer Emma McKeon (pictured) was also seen partying at the Sin City nightclub

‘The bulk of people are having a great time,’ she said.

‘All athletes left last night without incident and had a great time, and are soaking up atmosphere of what the Games are all about now, a party.’

Sin City general manager Tim Martin was grateful for Mrs Jones’ reassurances to the athletes.
