A Brisbane tradie who works 12-hour days won $2.5million at his local pub on Saturday night because of a ‘spur of the moment’ decision.
The concreter, in his 20s, had finished a six-day working week when he became an instant millionaire at Acacia Ridge Hotel Motel.
‘I said to my boss “we’re going for a drink – it’s Saturday night”,’ he said.
He was playing pool with his mates when he heard the life-changing news.
‘Do you guys play Keno? We’ve had a win,’ a bartender casually asked.

He is a regular Keno player who normally made a five-spot entry but in a ‘spur of the moment’ decision he made a 10-spot entry.
‘I didn’t think about it at all. I just decided to play 10 numbers,’ he said.
‘I’ve got big dreams, and this seals the deal! It’s going to be working less and enjoying life more,’ the man said.
‘I’ve already thought about what I’m going to do with it. I’ve got big plans. It’s going to help me and a lot of other people.’

‘He was so excited, and everyone was so excited for him. It was just really great to see,’ she said.
The new-money millionaire took home the entire jackpot prize of $2,561,258.60.
‘I don’t know if I’ll sleep tonight. I’m wide awake,’ he said.
