An avocado farm which produces close to 1.5 million avocados every year is set to be sold for at least $250 million.
The farm in Goodwood, in the Bundaberg region of Queensland, is the biggest in Australia, and has only been on the market for a week.
Covering 1500 hectares, the land could be sold for anywhere between $250million and $300million.

Simpson’s avocados are sold all year around to supermarket giants Woolworths, Coles and Aldi.
The Simpson farm was put on the market last Thursday by Christopher Williams from Pricewaterhouse Coopers, who refused to disclose the exact price.
‘It’s on the market to any qualified buyer,’ Pricewaterhouse Coopers’ Christopher Williams told NewsMail.

Deputy Mayor Bill Trevor said the avocado farm auction means the Bundaberg region will be a lead contender in the future of agriculture and was compared to as the ‘next gas or oil industry’.
‘The investment to our region out of this farm has a flow-on to not only commercial, but residential as it will raise the values,’ he said.
The farm also includes a nursery which produces 13,000 avocado trees per year.
