Awkward moment girlfriend of PGA-winning golfer rejects his kiss

First-time PGA tour winner Aaron Wise didn’t seem to be as lucky with his lady after the big tournament on Sunday.

The 21-year-old, who snagged the title of the AT&T Byron Nelson match in Dallas, went in for a congratulatory kiss with girlfriend Reagan Trussell, but the blonde beauty hastily rejected him.

The awkward exchange went down on live TV following an interview Wise had done.

While the couple still smiled, embraced one another and locked eyes, when Wise leaned in for the kiss, Trussell gave him nothing but a blank stare.

The young golfer previously posted pictures of himself with the same girl on Instagram – which suggests the pair have been dating for several months and may be pretty serious.

Wise proudly wrote in a black and white picture post last July: ‘Can’t believe I get to call this girl mine.’

The snapshot showed Trussell smiling as he stood next to his girl while giving her a kiss on the forehead.

It seems Trussell is also a University of Oregon student athlete.

According to Trussell’s Facebook page, she is involved in the university’s acrobatics and tumbling team.

Twitter users chimed in on the conversation this week to share their two cents on the cringe-worthy camera kiss incident.

One Twitter user wrote: ‘She doesn’t owe him anything for winning a gold tournament… you guys have got to be kidding me with the BS about him making a ton of money and her not wanting to kiss him.’

Another said: ‘Pro golfers have been getting the shaft lately. What’s the deal?’

While one more added: ‘Grandma told her not to kiss before marriage.’

American Wise raked in a whopping $1,386,000 following his three-stroke victory over Australian golfer Marc Leishman.
