A baby has tragically died after drowning in a pond in rural New Zealand.
Police were called to an address in Winchmore, near Ashburton on New Zealand’s South Island, at about 11.40am on Thursday, according to Stuff.
A one-year-old child was found unresponsive in a pond, and emergency services attempted unsuccessfully to revive the baby.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner
