Bachelor couple Jimmy and Holly share heartbreaking news about pet kitten Gus

Bachelor couple Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston forced to put down the kitten they’d had for just a MONTH

The Bachelor’s Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston made a devastating announcement on Saturday to their Instagram followers.

They said Gus, the gorgeous kitten they had welcomed into their family earlier this month, had been beleaguered with ‘medical complications’ and had to be put down.

A heart wrenching call was made to have him put to sleep ‘for the sake of his quality of life.’

The couple issued a joint statement through Jimmy’s Instagram which said ‘Gus was our little ray of sunshine and filled our home with so much love.’

They said they would be taking a break from social media for awhile as ‘we’d like to continue to grieve together and return when the time is right.’

Jimmy, 32, and Holly, 27, had shared many heartwarming photos of the gorgeous fluffball to Instagram over the past few weeks but had kept his medical complications private.

It comes after Jimmy revealed that their beloved dog Billie was no longer living with them at their Bondi apartment.

The Border Collie had been adopted by Jimmy’s parents, the airline pilot explained, because they have a bigger home which is more suitable for a lively pooch.

‘It wouldn’t be fair to keep Billie in our little apartment. She now gets walked every morning and has plenty of room,’ he said.
