Bachelor fans claim Steph Crothers’ bizarre exit was ‘SCRIPTED’

Fans have turned on this year’s season of The Bachelor, accusing the show of ‘staging’ certain moments and claiming the contestants are following a ‘script’.

On Thursday’s episode, eliminated contestant Steph Crothers told Nick Cummins after failing to receive a rose, ‘I can’t believe I shaved my legs for this!’

While some viewers were amused by her one-liner, others were convinced it was ‘scripted’ by producers and completely missed the mark.

‘Was that really necessary? How rude! This season seems to be even more scripted than usual,’ one fan wrote on social media.

Other comments included, ‘Obviously scripted with poor acting’, ‘Scripted!’, ‘I kind of think that was a bit staged!’ and ‘I’ve never seen anything more staged in my life.’

Reacting to Steph’s rather bizarre parting words, several viewers claimed it wasn’t quite as ‘hilarious’ or ‘sassy’ as she hoped it would be.

‘Clearly this was a planned “drop the mic” moment to try and go viral,’ wrote an unimpressed fan.

Another commented: ‘When no-one knows who you are, so you try one more time to get noticed and a bit of screen time!’

Viewers also observed that her remark ‘wasn’t even that funny’ and simply came across as ‘awkward’.
