Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty made history again on Bachelor in Paradise during the season finale, getting engaged to be married.
Burnett and Haggerty became the first same-sex couple in the history of the Bachelor Franchise, and during Tuesday’s finale, Demi dropped to one knee and popped the question.
‘I found myself in you,’ Demi said, before proposing with a Neil Lane engagement ring during the finale.

‘I’m in love with you, and I didn’t even think it was possible to feel this way about someone,’ Burnett said, before getting down on one knee.
‘Kristian Haggerty, will you marry me?’ Burnett said, before Kristian said, ‘Of course I will’ as the happy couple embraced.
‘We’re working on it,’ Demi said, after Kristian insisted on getting her an engagement ring as well.

Burnett had previously been dating Haggerty before filming Bachelor in Paradise, and while she originally pursued a relationship with Derek Peth, she admitted she still has feelings for Haggerty, before they were reunited on the show.
Just a day after the August 13 episode where Burnett and Haggerty reunited, Burnett clapped back at former Bachelor in Paradise star Tanner Tolbert, who alleged their reunion was planned out by the couple in advance.
‘There was NO PLAN. You are speaking on something you HEARD about as if it is a fact,’ Burnett responded to Tolbert on Twitter August 14.
Dating: Burnett had previously been dating Haggerty before filming Bachelor in Paradise, and while she originally pursued a relationship with Derek Peth, she admitted she still has feelings for Haggerty, before they were reunited on the show
‘I was 100% honest and upfront the entire time. You are a grown a** man tweeting about rumors,’ she concluded.
While the Bachelor in Paradise finale was airing on the East Coast, Burnett was tweeting out some interesting details, including the orange dress she was wearing actually belonged to Katie Morton.
‘I was wearing @hellokatiemo’s dress during proposals and it looked so good on me she let me keep it. That’s a real friend,’ she said.

This season of Bachelor in Paradise featured an actual wedding, between last season contestants Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson.
It’s possible that next season of Bachelor in Paradise may feature Burnett and Haggerty’s wedding, but nothing is set in stone yet.
