Bachelor in Paradise suffers a frenzied editing FAIL during premiere episode

The Bachelor franchise has been an Australian favourite for five years running.

But new spin-off show Bachelor In Paradise’s premiere episode wasn’t without controversy.

As fans tuned in on Sunday evening, many would have spotted a crew member lingering in the background during what was supposed to be a romantic scene.

During the episode, Davey Lloyd and Leah Costa are snapped walking off into the Fijian distance to see if sparks fly.

In the background of the clip, a crew member is spotted building the show’s set in the far right corner of the scene.

While only visible for a split three seconds, the camera captures someone crouched down and adjusting a beach-side futon with pillows.

It’s speculated that the cast member was setting up a one-on-one date scene, yet to hit screens.

In the scene, the crew becomes quickly aware of the staff member’s presence as the two Paradise contenders approach with cameras filming.

Quick to notice Davey and Leah and before the scene abruptly switches, the third person is seen scurrying away as to avoid being featured – too late, however.

With the camera strategically hidden behind a red and white hammock, Davey and Leah walk briskly away from the remainder of the cast for a private chat.

And it seems Leah is a hot commodity, having been picked to go on a date with Davey Lloyd early into the premiere season.

Drama appears to already be brewing in Fiji, with Dutch-born Florence assuming she’d be his pick for the one-on-one time.
