Snezana and Sam met on the third season of The Bachelor in 2015, and married late last year in Byron Bay.

The couple share three children: daughter Willow, , -month-old daughter Charlie and 14-year-old Eve – Snezana’s daughter from a previous marriage.

‘She was very gradual with her attitude towards it, it was very when “I’m ready, once the Doctor gives me the all clear, when I feel good, when I feel strong”.’

Sam added: ‘She’s gone from a seven-minute workout a day to building her way up to predominately doing my 28 program.’

‘She’s been doing the program and walking, the double pram with both kids in it definitely adds a bit of resistance, especially up hill,’ he said with a chuckle.

‘It’s really just about consistency and with the kids, Snez takes the opportunity when they take a little snooze to get those workouts in,’ he said.

‘She’s not really hard on herself, and she eats more cake than any other person I’ve met before,’ he laughed. ‘But she knows that if she does that she’ll have to burn it off, and she’s pretty self aware.’

'My philosophy is Christmas is a time to really enjoy yourself': Sam said he and Snezana have a big festive season planned, and would be feasting 'in moderation' while exercising

‘My philosophy is Christmas is a time to really enjoy yourself’: Sam said he and Snezana have a big festive season planned, and would be feasting ‘in moderation’ while exercising

As for Sam, he said Christmas can be a tricky time for people maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine.

‘Everything in moderation. My philosophy is Christmas is a time to really enjoy yourself. Don’t overthink it, don’t be too restrictive, don’t be too hard on yourself… but also, don’t stop moving.

‘Most people gain weight art this time of year because they eat more, drink more and exercise less. It’s a double negative,’ he said.

While he says he barely goes to the gym over the festive period, Sam says he aims to ‘do a quick without at home or in the backyard, go for a run or go to the beach and play with the kids’.
