But this week, just hours after Laura shared a loved-up snap with the source of Elise’s heartbreak, Matty J, the contestants disappeared from each other’s follower list.
It’s an intriguing cull for the former hockey player, who follows over 1,300 people on the social media platform, including the majority of her cast-mates.

Laura on the other hand, only follows 120 people, including most of this season’s contestants, show host Osher Gunsberg, and her pet pooch, Buster.
The pair’s Instagram friendship was incredibly short-lived, with Elise only following Laura on August 31, around a week before the finale.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to both Elise and Laura for comment.

Her follower count at that time was around the same, indicating that Laura’s deletion may have been an isolated incident and not part of a wider cull.
The retired Hockeyroos player still follows castmates including Elora Murger, Tara Pavlovic, Lisa Carlton and Cobie Frost.
The same Matty J rejects also still appear in Bondi-based Jewellery designer Laura’s follower list.
