Bad Santa actor Tony Cox crashes his sedan into a kid on a bike in Los Angeles

Actor Tony Cox was involved in a car collision.

The 61-year-old reportedly struck a kid on a bicycle while driving his black sedan in Los Angeles.

The incident is being deemed an accident and the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to TMZ.

Cox is most famous for starring in Bad Santa as Billy Bob Thornton’s safe-cracking sidekick Marcus.

The star is likely thanking his lucky stars that police determined the collision to be accidental.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Cox was not at fault and not issued a summons. 

While driving in Los Angeles, the actor reportedly was making a right hand turn while a young person was riding his bike through the crosswalk.

The name and age of the victim who was struck are unknown but he is described as a ‘kid’.

Photos from the incident showed the boy’s bike mangled and pinned under the wheel of Tony’s black four-door.

The victim suffered a foot injury as a result of being struck however he ‘was alert and conscious after the accident,’ according to TMZ. 

Luckily, he was wearing a helmet.

Cox was born in Alabama but moved to the west coast to pursue a career in acting when he was just 18-years-old.

Along with his role in Bad Santa, Cox has been featured in films like Me, Myself and Irene, Date Movie, Epic Movie and Disaster Movie. 

Recently it appears as though the actor has taken a bit of a break in acting after decades in front of the camera. Tony’s last project was reprising his role as Marcus Skidmore in Bad Santa 2 in 2016.

Earlier this week another celebrity found themselves in a minor collision.

After hearing the banging, the driver, who was still stuck on the woman’s foot, reversed the large black GMC Yukon and the singer and his actress girlfriend exited the vehicle to tend to the victim.
