Tuesday night’s episode of Married At First Sight provided plenty of drama with bombshell wife swaps, heated exchanges and the return of ‘villain’ Davina Rankin.
And now an airport worker has claimed that planes were delayed on Tuesday night for ‘up to half an hour’ because baggage handlers couldn’t take their eyes off the screen’ while watching show’s most dramatic episode yet.
Speaking on Wednesday’s 2Day FM Em, Grant & Ed breakfast show, an airport worked called Zoe alleged that the staff were captivated by the program in the meal room of the airport.
Married At First Sight causes plane delays: Airport worker claims baggage handlers ‘delayed planes for up to half an hour because they couldn’t take their eyes off the screen’ while watching show’s most dramatic episode yet
‘I work at an airport. The big burly blokes that work with me and sit in my meal room, delayed planes for up to half an hour because they couldn’t take their eyes off the TV screen,’ she told the co-hosts.
Em Rusciano could not hide her shock at the revelation, quipping ‘Wait I’m sorry?!’ while Ed Kavalee found the tale ‘amazing.’
Zoe went on to explain: ‘So the bags that go on to the plane…your bags are not being put on time because they want to watch this silly show.’

Bringing the drama: Tuesday night’s explosive episode saw the return of ‘villain’ Davina Rankin, who didn’t waste any time in stirring the pot
Tuesday night’s Married At First Sight saw all the contestants return for one final dinner party – with or without their partners – and proved to be the most explosive episode yet.
The action-packed episode saw the return of ‘villain’ Davina Rankin, who didn’t waste any time in stirring the pot.
As she stepped foot into the dinner party, she hinted there would be trouble, saying ‘I’ll be lovely, but with a little dagger in my hand. But I’ll be smiling.’
During the dramatic meal, Davina went head to head with Tracey Jewel, told Dean Wells he was only the ‘best of a bad bunch’ and tried to create problems with Sean Thomsen’s new romance.

And if viewers thought Davina would use the opportunity to apologise for her actions – like trying to steal Dean Wells from love rival Tracey – they were sadly mistaken.
Determined to make Davina accountable for her actions, Tracey pulled the Instagram model aside for a chat.
‘I’m really happy with Sean but I want you to know that one of the main reasons Dean and I didn’t work was because of what you did,’ Tracey told Davina bluntly.
But Davina played dumb, asking ‘what did I do?’ and later added: ‘I’m so confused right now.’
Shock new romance: Sean and Tracey confirmed their romance, with Tracey having only recently split with her ‘TV husband’ Dean
Meanwhile, Troy Delmege and Carly Bowyer finally confirmed they were dating during steamy bedroom scenes.
But it wasn’t the only partner swapping revealed in the episode, with Sean dropping a bombshell early in the episode.
He shocked the other contestants when it was revealed that he and Tracey, who was originally paired with Dean Wells, were now dating one another.
Twist: Another bombshell wife swap took place between Carly Bowyer and Troy Delmege
