Baltimore Ravens’ Hayden Hurst is looking for ‘the one that got away’ on Twitter

Baltimore Ravens tight end Hayden Hurst things he found The One — but unfortunately, he didn’t catch her name.

The 25-year-old NFL player saw his dream girl on a recent flight from Jacksonville, Florida to Maryland, but she got off the plane too quickly for him to ask for her number.

So Hurst did the best thing a football player with thousands of followers could do: He tweeted about the missed connection in hopes of tracking her down.

Looking for love: Baltimore Ravens tight end Hayden Hurst, 25, was on a Spirit Airlines flight from Jacksonville, Florida to Baltimore, Maryland on Sunday when he saw a beautiful woman

Woosh! She passed by too quickly for him to introduce himself, so he tweeted a message to her that night, hoping to track her down on Twitter

Hurst says he was on the 7:45pm Spirit flight back to Baltimore on Sunday when he spotted the unidentified beauty.

But while getting off the plane, a fan asked to snap a picture with him, and he missed his opportunity to chat her up.

So instead, he took to Twitter to give her a shout-out in hopes of tracking her down.

‘To the gorgeous tall brunette on my flight to Baltimore. You walk incredibly fast and I couldn’t catch up but here’s hoping you have Twitter,’ he wrote, adding the romantic hashtag #theonethatgotaway.

Unfortunately the NFL player did not give any more information about the woman’s appearance, however that hasn’t stopped social media from rallying behind his search.

Hayden’s tweet has been liked nearly 4,000 times in just a day and a half — but more importantly, it is being shared and commented on by some of his NFL and college football buddies, which will hopefully help to improve Hayden’s chances of tracking down the mystery lady.

‘Shooters shoot. I respect it,’ wrote Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Nick Fitzgerald.

Others came forward to claim that either they or their friends had been the woman on the plane, although it is unclear whether any of the ladies in question are telling the truth, or simply taking the opportunity to get the attention of the NFL star.

One person tweeted to poke fun at Hayden over his inability to catch up with the unnamed woman, writing: ‘Hold on… NFL [player] can’t catch up with tall brunette… did the Ravens sign the wrong person?’

Hayden wasted no time in firing back at the cheeky Twitter user, replying: ‘Relax. I was taking a picture with someone.’

His response provided one fan with the opportunity to shoot his own shot at viral fame, posting a selfie that he had taken with Hayden at the airport, while writing: ‘My fault Hayden, I let you down. But still, no regrets!’

It is not known whether the man in question — Navarone Simpson — is indeed the person who got in the way of Hayden’s potential love connection, however, his confession at least earned him five minutes of online fame as it racked up likes from Hayden’s followers.
