Police have revealed the specific charge that two nurses involved in an antisemitic video are expected to face.

Bankstown Hospital nurses Ahmed ‘Rashid’ Nadir and Sarah Abu Lebdeh told Israeli influencer Max Veifer they would kill their Jewish patients while speaking to him in the live video chat platform Chatruletka.

NSW Police Detective Superintendent Darren Newman said the nurses would likely face is a Commonwealth offence concerning the use of a carriage service.

He said their were ‘complexities around obtaining the evidence’, as Veifer resides outside Australia, and police needed ‘an admissible statement that can be used in a court in NSW’.

He said he was confident that he could get that evidence.
