Beckham and Neville’s Barcelona lesson! New-look Barca put SIX past Inter Miami – including David and Phil’s sons – with Raphinha scoring, De Jong starring… and Lewandowski only in the stands!
- Barcelona smashed six goals past Inter Miami in their pre-season friendly
- Romeo Beckham and Harvey Neville both featured in the 6-0 drubbing
- New Barca signing Raphinha score one goal and grabbed two assists on debut
- Fellow new signing Robert Lewandowski watched from the stands in Florida
- Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong was also given 45 minutes in midfield
Barcelona new boy Raphinha made it a debut to remember on Tuesday as he scored and bagged two assists in a 6-0 drubbing of Inter Miami, while Romeo Beckham and Harvey Neville made cameo appearances in friendly encounter.
It was the 25-year-old Brazilian forward who led Xavi’s side to an easy win against the MLS club that is owned by England icon David Beckham.
While it was a debut to remember for Raphinha, it became an eye-opening experience for the sons of the two former Manchester United stars, with Harvey Neville getting a full half against the Catalan giants while Romeo Beckham only got four minutes to make a mark.

Watching on from the stands was Barcelona’s newest signing Robert Lewandowski, who completed his £42.5million move from Bayern Munich last week.
The Polish striker watched his new team-mates in action as they run riot in Fort Lauderdale but one man who wasn’t able to watch the game in person was manager Xavi.
The Barcelona boss is reportedly still unable to solve his visa problems that have stopped him from gaining entry to the United States.
But while there will be frustrations over his visa issues, he’ll be happy with how his team dispatched the MLS side, which Inter Miami boss Phil Neville labelled the friendly as the biggest game in their history beforehand.

Memphis Depay, who’s been linked with a move away from Barca, was also on the scoresheet

Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong also featured for Xavi’s side on Tuesday evening

Raphinha – who signed for £56m from Leeds United earlier this month – first set up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who opened the scoring in 19th minute, and then extended the lead himself six minutes later with a nice left foot first touch strike.
Teenage sensation Ansu Fati, who is slowly working his way back into form after a long layoff after a series of injuries, scored Barca’s third right before half-time with another pass from Raphinha.
Barca came back to the second half with 11 substitutions but kept dominating and scored three more through Gavi, Memphis Depay and Ousmane Dembele.

Ansu Fati also got on the scoresheet, netting Barcelona’s third goal of the evening
Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong also made an appearance in the second half, replacing new signing Franck Kessie in what was a strong Barcelona team for the friendly at the DRV PNK Stadium.
With four minutes left on the clock, Inter Miami boss Phil Neville, who gave his own son a full half to impress, sent on Romeo to see out the game.
Beckham is yet to feature in the MLS, while Neville made his MLS debut back in May.
It was Barca’s first of four games in their US pre-season tour that will continue on Saturday with a Clasico against bitter rivals Real Madrid in Las Vegas.

‘I think we are better than Real Madrid,’ Raphinha told reporters.
‘I’m very happy to score my first goal and for things having turned out well in my debut. I felt very good. I hope I can continue like this.
‘Of course I would like to score a goal against Real Madrid on Saturday. Scoring always gives confidence and if you do it against a team like Real Madrid even more so.’
