Serge Gnabry scored a hat-trick as Bayern Munich thrashed Werder Bremen 6-1 to move four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga on Tuesday.

After Jamal Musiala’s early opener had been cancelled out by Anthony Jung, and Eric Choupo-Moting had a penalty saved by Jiri Pavlenka, Bayern turned on the style as Gnabry scored twice and Leon Goretzka also found the target to put the German champions 4-1 up inside 28 minutes.

Gnabry then completed his hat-trick eight minutes from time, before substitute Matthys Tel rounded off the scoring two minutes later.
