Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is set to be out for the next month with a knee injury.
Lewandowski suffered a fracture of the tibia at the left knee joint in Bayern’s emphatic 3-0 Champions League victory at Chelsea on Tuesday evening.
The Poland international played a starring role in the victory, setting up two goals for former Arsenal star Serge Gnabry before grabbing one for himself.

Lewandowski played the full 90 minutes but was found to have sustained damage to his knee following a medical exam by the team’s doctor.
The time scale given for his recovery period is four weeks – meaning he could miss the Champions League last-16 second leg against Chelsea on March 18.
Lewandowski is also set to miss Bundesliga games against Hoffenheim, Augsburg, Union Berlin and their DFB-Pokal quarter-final match against Schalke.
The 31-year-old will have a cast on his knee for the next 10 days before starting the rehabilitation process.
Despite facing the prospect of being without their top scorer Lewandowski – who now has 39 goals for the season – Bayern will be confident of finishing the job off next month to book their spot in the Champions League quarter-final.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard conceded after the 3-0 defeat that his side were outclassed by the German champions.
‘That’s football at this level,’ Lampard admitted. ‘The levels of Bayern Munich were fantastic… it was a harsh lesson of reality for the players.’
He added. ‘If you go for 90 minutes you have to show more than we showed… (the players) need to use this to a positive effect. It might not feel like that this evening but they need to understand the levels in the Champions League when you reach the knockout stages.’
Lampard insisted ‘you should never say the door is closed’ ahead of the second leg in Germany, but he told BT: ‘They outclassed us in pretty much every department, so it was quite sobering.’
